For over thirty years, Morrison Forestry & Real Estate Company, Inc. has been a leading provider of forest management services for landowners of the South Carolina Lowcountry. MFRE was founded as a sole proprietorship in 1972, and primarily offered timber cruising, timber sales, and land sales services in its early years. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, the company evolved into a full service forestry corporation, and expanded its services and management range over the years. This range currently includes the management of over 100,000 acres of timberland across forty-five counties that are scattered throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

MFRE foresters are experienced professionals who combine their working knowledge of forests along with fine-tuned field skills and the latest computer technologies to provide landowners with sound professional advice. Company foresters hold bachelor and master degrees in forest resource management, are registered in both Georgia and South Carolina, and are SAF Certified. MFRE foresters and forest technicians collectively have over fifty years of experience in forest management services.

Company foresters work with a variety of clients from various backgrounds and locations to help these landowners accomplish goals and objectives. MFRE provides forest management services for all types of landowners (both domestic and international), from the small family farm, to the large quail-hunting plantation, to the intensively managed investment forest. MFRE clients include an extensive range of both large and small non-industrial private landowners, forest industry companies, investment organizations, and government agencies.
